Sponsors

Why do we have sponsors?

As a charitable organisation it can be a struggle to continue to offer the opportunities that our 900 plus members have access too. Therefore, it is with great thanks to the companies who have chosen to support SFYFC, and the future generation of the farming industry.

Each of these companies plays a significant part in the continued success of SFYFC. So far this year, their support and generosity has enabled the creation of a series of training programmes covering a variety of topics. From welding, to exhibiting at shows, to software training, being able to access the right materials and coaching is key to enriching members' experience and knowledge which can be applied in a multitude of situations.

Adam Hewitt Agri-plant & Salvage Sales | Page 2 | Commercial Motor

We were established in 1946 after World War II when my father opened a body repair business called John Hewitt Garages, and we now have over 70 years experience in the Motor and Agricultural Salvage Industry.

Michael and Adam joined the business in the 1970’s and the business expanded into the salvage management arena and became a limited company – John Hewitt and Sons Garages Ltd. By 1985 the sale of Motor Salvage had become the main focus of the business.

Over the next quarter of a century Hewitt International Salvage moved five times culminating in a 50 acre site in Wombourne, Staffordshire handling around 30,000 salvage units a year for many major insurers.

The business was sold in 2011. Following the sale, Adam Hewitt Limited was formed as a company specialising in the purchase and sale of agricultural machinery.

In April 2017 we are very proud and honoured to re-establish our working relationship with NFU Mutual for the disposal of all Farm, Plant and Machinery salvage collected throughout the UK.

Caleb Roberts • Luctonians Sports Club

Caleb Roberts has had a very close association with the Agricultural Industry for many generations and it’s something of which they are very proud of. As a company, they fully recognise the value and the importance of the Young Farmers movement to the industry and are aware of the pressures Federations are facing currently with the rising levy for members and the threat of reduced membership.

Many of Caleb Roberts employees are in fact either present or passed members and as an expanding business are regularly looking for new recruits and always look fondly upon ‘Young Farmers’.

Caleb Roberts admire anyone who is prepared to get up on stage and act in a production at the Festival and wish the very best of luck to all competing clubs.
